Our students complete our program confident and excited for their new career. We stick to teaching you exactly what you’ll need to be successful in the field.
Hands-on
We provide hands-on training in an actual dentist’s office to help you practice and retain information better. Learning in the environment that you will work in gives you an advantage when you start your new career. Students are so prepared at Tulsa Dental Assistant School that many find jobs prior to even graduating!
Dental Assistant Externship
Tulsa Dental Assistant School 40-hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become confident and qualified dental assistants. The externship portion of our course allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct guidance of experienced dental professionals in a local dental office. Students at Tulsa Dental Assistant School are eligible to begin their externships after class 3. Although we encourage our students to find their own externships, our Student Success Specialists are here to help our students identify potential opportunities in the area and assist with applications.
What Do I Get After Graduation?
Tulsa Dental Assistant School is licensed and regulated by the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools. Upon completion, students will receive their certificate of completion and BLS certification through the American Heart Association & their title will be Dental Assistant.
To get a radiology license in Oklahoma, the student will sign up with the Oklahoma Dental Foundation to take a 7-hour course, which is $130 (we will cover this cost). After the course, the students must sign up to take an exam at a proctored location. Within one year of taking the exam, the students must take 200 radiographs through their job, and submit proof of this to the state. This will allow them to get their radiology license.
